The problem: all over the world, and especially online on social media, there are highly polarizing conversations happening with seemingly high stakes. Many have lost friendships and other meaningful relationships over having different perspectives on world affairs.

We need to learn how to avoid being hit by polarization shrapnel, or hitting others with our own — and instead manifest healthy conversations that foster respectful and civil dialogue, maintaining a nourishing connection and relating even while having diametrically opposite perspectives. And, sometimes, how to know when to cut your losses and cease a conversation that fails to be civil and respectful, that fails to honor your boundaries and dignity.

I am exploring an approach I am coining the Civil Dialogue Protocol (CDP). Join us to discover some keys to upleveling your conversations with the people in your life; learn what to track and how to track it; and some techniques and strategies to keep a dialogue civil and respectful.
